Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). This stunning 2-year-old shepherd mix is as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside. Her foster describes her as having the coloring of a cougar and the heart of a sweetheart. With her golden eyes lined in natural eyeliner, she’s as striking as she is gentle. Merry's a smart, independent thinker who likes to understand what’s being asked of her, making her both clever and highly trainable. She’s walking beautifully on leash, curious but calm around other dogs, and enjoys being close to her people. Her foster can’t say enough good things about her: Housebroken and tidy, always using one spot in the yard. Excellent house manners, no chewing or destruction. Quiet and calm. She settles down easily and rarely barks. Great in the car and fine being left alone for short periods. Comfortable around older kids and men/women alike. Easy to bathe, soft coat, and not a heavy shedder. She’s been polite and respectful around her foster’s elderly Border Collie but would likely prefer being the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. With just a bit of continued training, Merry will be an incredible adventure buddy, ready to join you for walks, hikes, road trips, and cozy evenings at home.
