Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Meet Sola — The Sweet, Chill Girl Looking for Her Forever Couch! Say hello to Sola, a gorgeous 2–3 year old spayed female currently soaking up the Florida sunshine while she waits for her forever family! Sola is the ultimate low-to-moderate energy companion — she’s happiest lounging on the couch next to her person and living her best couch potato life. Temperament: Super sweet, calm, and gentle. She loves people and isn’t jumpy — just an easy-going girl who wants to hang out and relax. Training: House and crate trained (though she’d rather just chill outside her crate — she’s not destructive at all!). She knows “sit” and has a pretty solid recall. Motivation: Not into toys just yet, but she’s starting to enjoy treats and praise. Social: Sola hasn’t been loose with other dogs yet, as she’s still learning how to properly interact. She’s not showing aggression, she just doesn’t have all her doggy manners yet and is working on learning how to behave during her interactions. She’s also improving with her barrier/leash reactivity every day! Kids & Cats: Not formally tested, but her calm and gentle nature suggests she’d likely do fine with respectful kids. Cats are still unknown. Sola would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, loving, loyal dog who’s happy just being near her favorite human. If you’re ready for movie nights, peaceful walks, and endless gentle snuggles, Sola might be your girl! Located in SW Florida All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
