He’s potty trained. Story: Rue was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. We are so happy to have him safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Rue is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Rue is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Rue will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Rue is settling in nicely. He is friendly and sweet. He seems very comfortable- as if he has lived here forever. He appears to be house trained- no accidents in the house so far. He is eating and drinking very well. On walks he is curious about dogs walking across the street but does not get overly anxious or freak out. His happiest place is next to me or in the room with me. If I leave the room to go to the bathroom he will stay on the couch for a bit and then come to see where I am. But then he will go back to the couch once he knows. So while he likes to be near his person he is not like some of the velcro dogs I have fostered who jumped on my lap in the bathroom! All in all, he’s a great little companion and any family would be lucky to have him! The fee to adopt Rue is $475. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, his neuter, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
