Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Sterling, Stryker, Sawyer, Sabrina, Savannah, Samantha, Sophie and Scarlett! They are 8 week old mixed pups weighing about 8 lbs. They will most likely be medium sized when full grown. Their mama is 45 lbs. They are your typical active puppies who love to romp and play with eachother and humans, while also know how to cuddle and sleep! They are good with other dogs and kids in the foster's home, and can learn to be around cats at this young age. Sawyer has two favorite things...eating and napping. When he's walking around, one of the other pups will jump out at him. He turns a little and keeps going. He'll play a little then he immediately wants a little snack and a long nap. He likes to jump up on the couch since he knows he's getting away from the crazy bunch running around below. Food motivated to help with training! They will be ready for adoption on 11/12/25. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. They are just waiting for their forever home to arrive before the holidays! Apply for them at through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, 15144 KL#16182. Website is .pawsacrosspittsburgh/adopt

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
