Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: $699. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 10/15/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Found as stray and landed at a NC shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Special Needs? Bentley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Bentley was surrendered by his owners to a rural NC shelter. We have absolutely no history on him pre-rescue. Our best guess is that he is a doodle. We cannot guarantee that he is hypoallergenic or that he won't shed. Weight: 45 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? Yes, Bentley requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Bentley is a young, active doodle looking for an experienced owner. We have no idea about his background, but he is used to being in charge. This handsome boy is looking for a home where he can truly shine—ideally one where he can be the center of attention. While Bentley could share his home with another dog, he’s been selective about his canine friends and will need a companion who’s a good match for his personality. Bentley would be perfectly happy as an only dog, where he could soak up all the love and have a toy box overflowing with his favorites. Bentley does best with dogs who are independent, confident, and not overly bossy. Timid or skittish dogs aren’t his style—Bentley appreciates a buddy who can stand their ground and keep playtime balanced if he gets a little too rambunctious. Bentley is still learning proper social cues and how to respect boundaries during play, so his ideal family will be patient, understanding, and committed to helping him continue his training and social development. We’re not sure how Bentley feels about cats, so for now, we recommend a cat-free home. What is my personality like? Bentley is a stunning white doodle with a bright personality and an even brighter future ahead of him. He’s a smart and curious boy who already knows a few commands, like “sit” and “ahh-ahh.” Bentley loves people and enjoys being part of the action. When it comes to toys, he’s in heaven—he’ll happily entertain himself or try to invite another dog to join in the fun if they’re game. Bentley is full of energy and enthusiasm for life, and he’ll thrive with a family who enjoys outings, adventures, and active playtime. Most of all, Bentley loves attention and affection from his people. He’s playful, loving, and ready to give his heart to someone who will guide him with structure and kindness. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate, and spirited companion to share life’s adventures with, Bentley might just be the one for you. How do I act when I first meet new people? Bentley is friendly with new faces. He thinks new friends are pretty cool! Other tips and tidbits: We have absolutely no history on Bentley pre-rescue. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at 2 years old. We celebrate his birthday 10/15/2023. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labradoodle is a charming and increasingly popular hybrid breed, originating in Australia in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a guide dog for a visually impaired individual allergic to dog hair. This delightful canine combines the best traits of its parent breeds: the intelligent Poodle (Standard) and the friendly Labrador Retriever. Physically, Labradoodles boast a range of sizes and coat types, from wavy fleece to curly wool, often shed-reduced, making them a potential option for individuals with mild allergies. Their coats come in various colors, including cream, chocolate, and black. Temperamentally, they are known for being sociable, intelligent, and trainable, making them excellent family pets. They thrive on human companionship and require moderate exercise to stay happy and healthy. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they generally prefer homes with yards over small apartments, though daily walks are essential. Common health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial for a healthy companion.
