To ensure Suri finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Suri | 3.5-year-old Mixed Breed | Gentle Soul with a Playful Heart Meet Suri, a 3.5-year-old, 40-pound mixed breed beauty with a sleek black coat and a calm, affectionate personality. She’s the perfect blend of playful and mellow—always up for a walk, a hike, or a game of fetch, but just as happy to curl up and relax by your side once she’s had her exercise. Suri is fully house-trained (though with any dog adjusting to a new environment, a few accidents may occur at first while she settles in) and does great on a leash, making walks an easy, enjoyable experience. She might get momentarily distracted by a squirrel or bunny, but she’s quick to refocus and continue on her way. When left home alone, Suri is a perfect angel—quiet and content in her crate once she settles in. Though she can be a bit shy at first, especially around new people or men, Suri warms up quickly and loves to rest her head on you or roll over for belly rubs once she feels comfortable. She enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well around older kids. Her previous owner shared that she sometimes got a little too excited around toddlers, so a home with adults or older children would be ideal. Suri loves her toys—especially Kongs, rubber balls, and ropes—and she’s known to stash treats away for later. She’s food- and affection-motivated, eager to please, and responds well to basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “leave it.” This sweet, easygoing girl would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys walks, hikes, or visits to the dog park, but also values quiet companionship. Suri was lovingly surrendered through no fault of her own and is now ready to find a patient, loving forever home where she can feel safe, play freely, and share her gentle heart. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
