Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Hi, I’m Little Caesar! Yep, you guessed it — I got my name because I was found hanging out by the dumpster behind a Little Caesars. Pretty cheesy, right? But don’t worry, I’ve got a heart as big as a deep-dish pizza! I’m around 5 months old and about 25 lbs — still a growing boy, but already full of sweetness and charm. I’m a little skinny right now, but I’m healthy, happy, and oh-so-friendly. I walk nicely on leash, love people, and everyone says I’m cute as can be. The shelter life isn’t really my style — I’d much rather be cuddled up in a loving home where I can play, learn, and soak up all the affection I can get. I’m available for foster or foster-to-adopt, and I’m ready to start my new chapter. Maybe with you? A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
