Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Meet Bean, a 4-month-old sweetie of a Jack Russell mix. Found as a stray in Texas, Bean hasn’t had many chances to learn how to just be a puppy, but he’s already showing how incredibly smart and affectionate he is. He scares easily at first, but with a little patience and reassurance, he quickly relaxes and shows his playful, cuddly side. Bean understands when he’s in trouble—he’ll give you the best puppy eyes before wiggling his way back into your good graces. He’s eager to learn and will thrive in a home that can help him build confidence and teach him the ropes of puppy life. Bean loves to snuggle, is quick to bond, and just wants to be close to his people. With a kind, steady hand and lots of love, this sweet, smart boy will grow into the perfect companion. Bean is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/21/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
