Meet Elio, a completely adorable Staffy/Lab mix who was born in Texas to a stray, feral mom and has grown into a happy, social little pup with a gentle heart that is ready to love. He’s playful and silly in the best way—always ready to chase a toy, bounce through the grass on his short little legs, or roll over for a good belly rub. Elio wins everyone over with his sweet, easygoing nature. He loves being near his people and has a curiosity that makes him a joy to be around. Elio is the kind of puppy who just wants to make you smile—whether he’s trotting along beside you or clowning around with his littermates. With his charming mix of sweetness and silliness, Elio is ready to find a family who will appreciate his warm heart, gentle spirit, and playful energy. Elio is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/21/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
