Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups. Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete. Found abandoned in a park as a puppy, he’s grown into a confident, easygoing dog who loves being part of a home — he just doesn’t need to be in your lap to show it. Barkley isn’t the snuggly type — he’s more of a “near you” kind of guy. He’s happiest lying nearby while you work, cook, or relax, keeping a watchful eye on things. He’s deeply bonded to his person and naturally protective, always wanting to make sure you’re safe and comfortable. He shows his love through loyalty and presence rather than cuddles. He enjoys long walks, chasing squirrels, and playing with his dog buddies Maverick and Rolo. He’s house-trained, smart, and well-mannered in the home. Barkley would do best in a calm, loving environment with someone who appreciates a loyal companion that gives space but stays close. If you’re looking for a steady, loyal friend who will quietly be your shadow through every day, Barkley is your guy.
