Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Beagle / Mixed (medium coat). Pinto is a pint-sized cutie! At twenty pounds, he's perfect for smaller spaces. He's still adjusting to life at the kennel and is scared. But he's meeting new people, learning to walk on a leash, and developing a taste for beef liver treats and duck jerky. After his lessons, he loves to cuddle. This youngster (just a year old) has loads of potential! He'll charm you with his snaggle-toothed smile and regal poses. He'll dazzle you with his new leash skills. A patient person who can help him adjust will be rewarded with a sweet, snuggly friend. Email adoptyoloshelter to arrange a meeting with Pinto at the shelter at 2640 E Gibson Road, Woodland All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Breed overview
Overview:
The Cheagle is an endearing hybrid, resulting from a cross between a Beagle and a Chihuahua, offering a unique blend of both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed initiatives, Cheagles typically inherit the smaller stature of the Chihuahua with the slightly more robust build of the Beagle. Their physical appearance is quite variable, ranging from short to medium coats, often in colors like black, tan, white, or tricolor, and their ears can be erect or floppy. Temperament-wise, they are generally described as affectionate, playful, and often energetic, making them suitable companions for families or individuals. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include those common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, dental issues, and intervertebral disc disease, making responsible breeding and veterinary care essential for a long and happy life.
