Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet Loki! He's a stunning 3-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart as big as his playful spirit. This sweet rescue boy is the total package—handsome, loving, and full of fun! Loki is incredibly people-oriented and thrives on companionship. Whether you're going for a walk, relaxing at home, or heading out for an adventure, he’ll be right by your side, tail wagging and ready to go. He’s also very dog-friendly and loves making new canine friends. One of Loki's most impressive traits? He’s got a calm and respectful demeanor around other animals. At his foster home, he completely ignores the resident cats, squirrels, and even ducks—a rare and wonderful quality! Already neutered and heartworm negative, Loki is healthy, happy, and ready to move into his forever home. His ideal family will give him the love and attention he deserves, and in return, they’ll get a loyal and affectionate companion for life. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Loki is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT LOKI!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
