Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Timmy, a playful and affectionate 4 month old white terrier mix who is ready to steal your heart. Timmy may be deaf and has the blue merle gene, which means he will need routine eye checks, but he doesn’t let anything slow him down—he’s full of joy, curiosity, and love. Timmy does well in his kennel, is working on potty training, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys car rides. He absolutely loves running and playing with other dogs, and he would thrive in a home with a confident canine buddy who can help him learn and grow. While Timmy will need a little extra attention and patience as he navigates the world in his own special way, he gives that love back tenfold. With his sweet nature and big heart, Timmy is ready to be someone’s loyal companion and bring endless smiles to his forever family. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
