Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet Luanne — our very own Countess of Cuddles! ✨ Luanne is full of grace, charm, and fabulousness — but she’s trading cabaret shows for cozy naps and sniff walks these days. This sweet diva is recovering from an ear infection and skin allergies. One should know - never count out the countess on a speedy recovery! Luanne is housebroken, gets along beautifully with cats, dogs, and kids, and loves nothing more than lounging in style (preferably on the comfiest bed in the house). She does have a touch of separation anxiety — after all, a countess deserves her loyal subjects nearby — so she’d love a home where she isn’t left alone too long. If you’re ready to roll out the red carpet for a classy, affectionate gal with a heart of gold, Luanne is ready for her next chapter — and darling, it’s going to be fabulous. The first step is to apply online. If you have any additional questions you can send them to ashleyphillypaws Follow her foster on Instagram to see more: fostering_matters Age: 10+ How I came to PAWS: found as a stray Animal ID#: A 180861 Weight: 10lbs (needs to be at 7.5) Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
