Description
Dog Breed: Cocker Spaniel. This beautiful baby was originally purchased from Petland by a young lady who quickly realized that having a puppy was more work than she was prepared for. She gave to a friend who reached out to us and asked us to take him. Bowie is a beutiful tri color cocker with merle accents, h is very sweet, bouncy and playful. He LOVES other dogs but chases cats as one of his favorite hobbies. He walks great on a leash, crate trained, loves toys and is doing great on potty training. Please remember that he was originally acquired from a Petstore that is not known for ethical breeding practices, we can not in anway vouch for certification on normal breed related certifications that should be done on parents prior to breeding. We are anticipating a large amount of applications on this puppy and beg both your patience and understanding as we work through locating the most suitable home for him. Please remember that there is only 1 puppy and that we will have multiple amazing homes that will be applying. All approved applications will stay in our system for a higher opportunity for future adoptable dogs and pups.. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. .petstablished/adoption_form/10167/generic .We cannot guarantee breed or size when full grown.

Overview:
The Cocker Spaniel, a beloved breed with roots in the United Kingdom, was originally bred as a gundog to flush out woodcock. They are instantly recognizable by their medium size, typically weighing 20-30 pounds, their luxurious, often wavy coat (which comes in a variety of colors), and their long, expressive ears that frame their gentle, eager-to-please eyes. Known for their merry and affectionate temperament, Cockers are generally good-natured, intelligent, and relatively easy to train, making them an excellent choice for families with children and even first-time dog owners. While adaptable, their moderate exercise needs can be met with daily walks and playtime, making them suitable for apartment living as long as they receive sufficient mental and physical stimulation. Prospective owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including ear infections (due to their long ears), eye conditions like cataracts, and hip dysplasia, which highlight the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
