Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Hiii there! You look friendly, will you pet my belly? Actually sorry, I’m just going to roll into your lap so it’s easier for you. I am so considerate, right? And sorry, I’m a hugger and I like to have your hands in my mouth- not to bite, just to hold! I just want to be close to you! I’m a smiley, sweet boy with a touch of mischief – but that comes with my age! I came to Minnesota from Arkansas in November, and I’m learning to love it here—I keep hearing about this “snow” stuff- it sounds fun! I walk well on a leash, gently take treats, and almost always go potty outside- I’m still learning that one a little bit, but I’ll get it! I found out that when I am on a schedule, I know that I can hold it until then. I also figured out that if I let my people know I gotta go, they’ll take me out. Pretty cool, huh? I sit, am working on stay, love love love to play fetch, and squeaky toys are the absolute best. I also love to play with other dogs—a good ol’ game of chase is my jam! My foster brother is kinda a grump and doesn’t exactly appreciate my zest for life, but we still get along—I’m just learning his boundaries and sometimes need to be told to leave him alone. I will happily chew on a bone or play with a toy by myself when that happens—I just really want him to join me! Speaking of being told to leave others alone—I sometimes have to be told to leave the resident cats alone… I just really want to play with them, and I’m not quite understanding that batting at me doesn’t mean they want to play. I’m still a young dog, so manners are still being learned, but I learn quickly! I don’t love being in a kennel but I will accept it and settle down- especially if you have a white noise machine going. I’m great with kids—more hands to pet me? Yes please! I am a friendly guy who wants snuggles, belly scratches, treats, ice cubes, and lots of love… and a pile of squeaky toys! Can I come home with you?!?! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
