Even though she may have had a little bit of a rough patch. You see, Nessie came to Wisconsin after she was patched by the amazing team in Texas after they believe she got hit by a car. Poor Nessie's hip and femur needed some work on so they got her all fixed up and while they did attempt to contact her owner because Nessie was microchipped when found limping towards a shop. Those owners decided she was not worth the time or energy and decided after they ghosted the vets that they could find a different home for her. Their loss is our gain cuz oh my goodness is she the sweetest loving easy happy-go-lucky chill girl! Nessie's going to have a recheck here in Wisconsin to make sure everything's okay with her post surgery sometimes she can be a little lame on her legs still just want to make sure she's all good to go for her forever home! I know Nessie's going to make someone very happy she would make a great family dog or single companion. As long as you have room on the couch for her!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
