Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hey there, meet Mack! Mack is adorable, snuggly, and ready for a forever family. This stud muffin is playful and very energetic, perhaps couch potato days are in his future, but for now, he is all puppy power. Mack enjoys chewing on toys, bones, and sampling any and all snacks that come his way. Mack is very smart! He enjoys learning and because he enjoys treats so much, he is very motivated to master new skills. Mack is looking for a home that is active, full of fun, and a family that is interested in training; Mack isn't just a hunky fella with dashing good looks, he is a smart cookie who needs to work his brain! Mack attends dog playgroup here and loves making canine friends! If you are looking for a new best friend, come meet Mack today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - 24 Petwatch microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering -heartworm testing Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
