Description
Dog Breed: Bulldog. Lexi is a mixed breed girl who we welcomed from a good shelter in SC. She came to us with high praises and so far, she has lived up to that praise. The folks in SC described her as "the sweetest dog you may ever meet! This gentle soul is pure love throuigh and through. With her big, warm brown eyes, Lexi greets everyone as if you are the most important person around. Whether she's giving soft kisses or curling up in your lap for a nap, she's the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter." Lexi is 2 years old and about 41 pounds. She also loves other dogs and is in a foster home with a cat.

Overview:
The Bulldog, often recognized by its distinctive pushed-in face and sturdy build, is a beloved breed with a rich history rooted in England. Originally bred for bull-baiting, their temperament has evolved significantly, making them gentle, affectionate companions today. Physically, Bulldogs are medium-sized, characterized by their broad shoulders, short legs, and loose, wrinkled skin. Their short coat typically comes in various colors and patterns. Despite their somewhat imposing appearance, Bulldogs possess a surprisingly sweet and docile nature, making them excellent family pets and remarkably well-suited for apartment living due to their lower energy levels. However, prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns, including brachycephalic airway syndrome, hip and elbow dysplasia, and skin fold dermatitis, which necessitate regular veterinary care and attention to their unique needs. Their calm disposition and moderate exercise requirements make them a wonderful choice for those seeking a loving and loyal companion.
