Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - Strand Hardware Store 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. All of our dogs are in foster homes and not in one single kennel location. Adoption events is the best way to meet several of our dogs at once. Ichabod is a one year old long haired black and tan male who came from a local shelter so there is not much known about his past. He is crate trained and has good house manners. He is a happy boy who loves to get snuggles before he wants to play around with the other dogs. He enjoys being near his humans and working through the household toys. He is working on basic commands of sitting and waiting. Small critters and cats unknown. More to come as we get to know him better. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. While generally good with families when properly socialized, their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation make them unsuitable for apartment living without significant daily exercise.
