Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed. A SWEET & ADORABLE PUPPY: Approx. 3 – 4 months old / Approx. 6 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Marty! I’m a darling little puppy who somehow ended up at animal control, and I’m so grateful to be with Mostly Mutts now while I wait for my forever family to come and adopt me. I just moved into a foster home, so we’ll be learning even more about me soon - but for now, I’m feeling hopeful, happy, and excited for this new chapter! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met dogs yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and remember that I’m a tiny puppy, so you will need to be mindful of that. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that may fall on me as I’m tiny. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a precious, gentle little puppy with a whole lot of sweetness to share. I loved my bath - with no fears - and thought drinking from the sprayer was extra fun! Afterward, I happily cuddled up in a nice towel and gave the sweetest kisses, wishing I could be held forever. I may be a bit shy at first, but that’s just because I’m still so tiny and learning about the big world; once I feel safe, all my love comes pouring out. I’m even figuring out my mealtime routine and currently prefer eating off a plate instead of a bowl. I really am just a little angel hoping to find someone to love me right back. / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / You can teach me my crate manners. / I’m at the very beginning of my potty training, so I’ll need my new family to potty train me in our yard. Stay close to me though since I’m so small, the birds of prey could take interest in me. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being held, giving lots of kisses, and snuggling right into a warm lap! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

More About Jack Chi BreedOverview:
The Jack Chi is a delightful designer breed, a cross between the spirited Chihuahua and the energetic Jack Russell Terrier. Originating from the desire to combine the best traits of both parents, this hybrid typically inherits a compact size, weighing between 8-18 pounds and standing 10-15 inches tall. Their physical appearance varies, often featuring a short, smooth coat in colors like black, white, tan, or a combination, with alert, intelligent eyes. Temperamentally, Jack Chis are known for being playful, intelligent, and loyal companions. They possess the Chihuahua's affectionate nature and the Jack Russell's zest for life, making them engaging pets. While adaptable to apartment living due to their smaller stature, they require regular exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. They can be good with families who understand their need for consistent training and socialization, especially with younger children. Notable health considerations for the Jack Chi include potential predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, dental issues, and heart problems, highlighting the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
