Rizz, male, 1yr old Poodle mix, weighs 20lbs Rizz was brought into a rural Texas Shelter as a stray and no one ever came to claim him. He was completely matted and needed a shave down. Needless to say he is so happy to have his dreadlocks removed! Rizz loves wearing sweaters now with this chilly weather and is excited to see his first snow fall. He is a very happy and social boy with everyone he meets. He is also a rockstar in doggy play groups, especially if they are more his size. Rizz sleeps quietly in his crate at night and if you stick to a routine, he will always potty outside. He is gentle and kind with children of all ages. If you are in need of a non to low shedding dog, this boy will be perfect! We are located at S47 W30760 State Road 59, North Prairie, WI As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
