Description
Dog Breed: Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). **CLEO an Italian Greyhound Mix** Cleo and her three siblings were saved from a challenging situation in a home overwhelmed by too many dogs, and thanks to a compassionate rescue, they are now on the journey to find their forever families. Cleo and her sister, Marcy, are currently in the loving care of a foster home, where they are thriving and surrounded by affection as they await their perfect match. At first, Cleo may come across as a bit timid, likely reflecting her past experiences and the adjustments she’s making. However, she quickly bonded with her foster family and cherishes snuggling in her foster's lap. Weighing in at just eight pounds, Cleo is a delightful, full-grown Italian Greyhound mix who embodies sweetness, intelligence, and warmth. This charming cuddle bug dreams of a forever home where she can be by your side. Cleo truly flourishes in the company of other dogs, making her ideal for a home with a furry friend or for adoption alongside her beloved sister, Marcy. If you’re looking to add love and joy to your life, Cleo is ready to be your loyal companion and source of endless affection. Don’t miss the opportunity to bring this sweet girl into your home! **Adopting Cleo** To apply to adopt, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Our pups are transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble, focusing instead on a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee for Cleo is $495 and includes spaying, puppy vaccines, rabies, and a microchip. .rompinpawsrescue

Breed overview
Overview:
The Italian Greyhuahua is a captivating hybrid breed, combining the spirited charm of the Chihuahua with the elegant grace of the Italian Greyhound. Originating from designer breed programs, these small companions typically inherit a slender, delicate build, often with the distinctive large ears of the Chihuahua and the refined muzzle of the Italian Greyhound. Their coats are generally short and smooth, coming in a variety of colors. Temperamentally, they are known for being affectionate and loyal, though they can exhibit a lively, sometimes feisty, personality. They are generally good for apartment living due to their size and moderate exercise needs, and can thrive in families that understand their need for a gentle environment and consistent training. Health-wise, potential concerns include patellar luxation, dental issues (common in Chihuahuas), and sensitivity to cold due to their thin coats. Early socialization is key to nurturing a well-rounded and confident companion.
