Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). **Chelsea, a Small Mixed Breed Puppy** Meet Chelsea, a lovable 8-month-old mix of Shepherd, Poodle, Terrier, and a super mutt mix of small breeds. The adopters of her brother did a DNA test, so we have a good idea of her breed mixes. Chelsea will be on the small side of medium, weighing approximately 25 pounds as an adult. Chelsea is thriving at Rompin Paws Rescue and is ready to find her forever home. Chelsea is a sweet puppy who is shy at first, but spend time with this girl and give her treats and love, and she will be your best friend in no time. Chelsea is learning to trust, enjoying playtime with her puppy friends in the yard, chasing balls, and learning how to sit and give you her paw, and snuggling up for cozy naps on my shoulder. Chelsea is a smart girl who is eager to learn, and with consistent training and positive reinforcement, she will flourish. Having another dog in her future home would be a great advantage for Chelsea, providing her with a companion to guide her as she embarks on her new life. Chelsea is up to date on all her puppy vaccinations. The small breeds in her DNA will keep her on the small side of medium. We are scheduling her Rabies and will work with her adopter on a spay date with our vet. Chelsea is an awesome young dog who just wants a family of her own and time with her people for snuggles, walks, and adventures!! Are you ready to welcome Chelsea into your heart and home? **Adopting Chelsea** To apply to adopt Chelsea, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Nyssa has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble, focusing instead on a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee for Chelsea is $595 and includes spaying, puppy vaccines, rabies, and a microchip. .rompinpawsrescue

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
