Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Hi there! Iâm Cowboy, a fun-loving, high-energy pup whoâs always ready for adventure. Iâm looking for an active home that loves to play, explore, and enjoy life as much as I do!I can get a little overexcited sometimes â Iâm still learning my manners and can be jumpy and mouthy when I play. Iâll need an owner whoâs dedicated to helping me learn polite behavior and guiding me with patience and consistency. Because of this, Iâd do best in a home without kids under 12.If you already have a dog, Iâd love to have a meet-and-greet at the shelter to make sure weâre the perfect match â I get along great with other high-energy dogs like me!I absolutely love toys, taking adorable photos, and being your personal source of joy and laughter. Iâm also a total sweetheart whoâll happily climb into your lap for cuddles and âlovins.â. If youâre looking for a loyal, playful companion to share your adventures â and youâre ready to help me keep learning and growing â I canât wait to meet you!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
