She loves nothing more than cuddling close and greeting her humans with pure joy. When you come home, she hops up and down with excitement—as if she simply can’t contain her happiness that you’re back. It’s impossible not to smile when Mishka’s around. Now that she’s finally getting the calories and care she’s long deserved, Mishka has discovered her playful side. She’s just learning what toys are and has quickly become a big fan of playing ball. She’s an active girl with growing confidence, and it’s been a joy watching her personality bloom. Mishka is still learning to trust, and she takes mealtime very seriously. It’s clear she hasn’t always known when her next meal would come, and that history has stayed with her. She’s had a hard life, and you can see glimpses of that in how thoughtfully she approaches things—but she is ready to leave that past behind. After raising seven beautiful puppies, Mishka is ready for a life of her own—one filled with safety, love, patience, and all the comfort she’s been missing. She deserves the very best, and she’s so ready for her forever family to find her. Mishka is from a local reservation. The Sheprador, a popular crossbreed resulting from the union of a German Shepherd Dog and a Labrador Retriever, embodies many desirable traits from both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
