Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet Pawlmer! Hi, I’m Pawlmer, a sweet and sensitive little guy with a whole lot of heart. I may be small, but I have big hopes of finding someone patient and kind who can help me feel safe and cherished. The world can feel a bit overwhelming at times, so I’m looking for a calm, steady home where I can take my time getting comfortable and exploring at my own pace. Once I settle in, my playful side comes out. I enjoy my toys, cozy naps after meals, and simply being close to my person. I’d be thrilled to join you on small adventures as we learn the world together, gently and confidently, one step at a time. Kids are perfectly fine as long as they’re calm and respectful; loud noises and sudden movements can be a little much for me. With patience and reassurance, I’ll blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Pawlmer is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT PAWLMER!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
