Meet Rupert – A Resilient, Loving Boy Ready for a Fresh Start Rupert's journey to the Rockwall Adoption Center was not an easy one, but despite everything, this sweet boy has proven himself to be incredibly resilient and full of gentle affection. Now that his stray hold has expired, Rupert is officially ready to find a forever home where he will be valued, safe, and loved for life. Rupert is an approximately 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Whippet mix who weighs under 50 lbs. He is friendly, expressive, and eager to bond with people. Though we don't have any background information on him, Rupert has shown us that he is smart, attentive, and ready to learn. With structure, patience, and kindness, he will blossom into a loyal companion. His adoption fee is $125 and includes his neuter, rabies vaccination, boosters to date, microchip and heartworm test. He is scheduled for his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, and heartworm test on Wednesday, December 3rd. This date is non-negotiable and all adopters must be able to return him for this appointment in accordance with Texas state law. Rupert deserves a soft landing after a tough start, and he's ready to begin his new chapter with a family who will give him the love and stability he has been missing. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
