Dog Breed: Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (short coat). Joker is a 6-month-old male Shepherd/Border Collie mix who will be neutered before adoption. He was found as a stray near downtown Prattville; and no owner came to claim him. Joker is white with black markings; and he is good boy! His face has quite a bit of black markings on his head; and he has a couple of large black spots on his body. Joker weighed only 17 pounds when he came to PAHS; and he was extremely underweight. As you can see he has thrived under the care he has gotten at PAHS. We believe he will be a large adult dog who could weighs 50-60 pounds. Joker is active but gentle; and he would be good with older children and other dogs. This kind hearted fellow will quickly bond with his adopter and become a devoted companion. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
