Description

Dog Breed: Rottweiler. Purebred roittweiler. Has had some formal training. He knows commands in english and in German. Good with people, good with kids. And he is good with most dogs. Dogs that challenge him, he doesn't like. Very sweet dog. He has been living with a cat for the past 3 years and they are great pals. He loves the child in his house and all her friends. He was adopted from our rescue in 2021but sadly is being returned because his owner has fallen into bad health and is no longer able to take care of him. He is about 6 years old. Crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash with a training collar.. He also available to foster if you live in the phoenix area. To learn more about our foster program please go to .rottenrottie Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, .rottenrottie click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $400 for most adults, $250 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.

Rottweiler

A.K.A.: Rottweil butcher's dog, Rottweil dog, Rottie, Rotty, Rott, Rot, Rotts, Rotties, Butchers dog, German Rottweiler
Overview:

The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
