Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Meet Rusty! Rusty is a gorgeous mixed breed puppy, around 5 months old. He is around 20 lbs now and will likely grow to around 30-35 lbs. Rusty is an energetic and excited puppy. He's very loving and likes to connect with people, kiss your hands and snuggle on the couch. He also loves puttering around the yard, sniffing and zooming. Being an excited puppy, Rusty will jump on you when standing when he wants your attention. This needs a little work but a bit of obedience training goes a long way. Rusty is housebroken, crate trained, and rides well in the car. He sits on command and is currently learning the "stay" and "come" commands. He has an adult bark but doesn't use it much and he doesn't chase the passing deer. He sleeps in his crate at night. Rusty will do great as an only dog or with another playful dog in the home. Kids over 8. Rusty will be vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
