Description
Dog Breed: Terrier. Online Adoption Application › Candy Cane is a snuggly, tiny little angel with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She loves trying to keep up with her big brother and foster siblings, and her small size certainly doesn’t slow her down. Sweet and affectionate, she prefers to be right by her foster mom’s side, curling up on her chest under a cozy blanket whenever she can. When it’s playtime, she hops right into the fun — then happily crawls back to her humans for cuddles. A true Velcro baby, her stunning one blue and one brown eye will instantly melt your heart. She’s currently working on house training, using pee pads indoors, and learning the ropes with crate training. "I was born on approximately 10/14/2025 and can go home when I am at least 8 weeks old. I weigh 5-6 lbs, and am growing fast! I will likely be ~50 lbs full grown. More information will be provided as her personality develops ************************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
