Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Meet Nala, our beautiful and loving Pitbull girl. Nala was rescued from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center just in time, and she has been nothing but a sweetheart since the moment she was saved. Nala is great with people and does wonderfully with other dogs. She’s about 1.5 years old, weighs around 60 lbs, and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. This gentle girl deserves a second chance at life. She is ready to find a forever home where she’ll be cherished, safe, and loved. NALA & her brother BLUEBERRY two sweet siblings were rescued from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center just in time. Both are loving, gentle, and ready for a new beginning. Nala and Blueberry are each looking for their forever home. They do not need to be adopted together, but if anyone is interested in giving both siblings a home, we would be more than happy to make that happen. If you’re interested in adopting or foster-to-adopt, please contact the rescue. These two deserve their happily ever after.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
