Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Meet Perla, the queen of cuddles and certified ball aficionado. This affectionate, outgoing girl radiates joy everywhere she goes and is ready to bring that sunshine into your home. Perla loves people — like, truly loves everyone — and gets adorably excited when you walk through the door, whether you’ve been gone all day or just stepped out for a moment. She greets everyone like an old friend, happily offering kisses and soaking up as much attention as you’ll give. Perla lives by one simple motto: Ball is life. Tennis balls, squeaky balls, rubber balls — she isn't picky. She’ll proudly carry one around like it’s treasure, chase it with enthusiasm, and keep the game going for as long as you let her. She’s still working on catching them out of the air and perfecting her “drop,” but she has so much fun trying that you can’t help but cheer her on. At home, she’s a well-mannered companion who is reportedly house trained, settles nicely when left alone, and happily entertains herself with toys until her people return. She knows “sit,” “come,” and “stay,” loves learning, and is highly motivated by treats — especially carrots, cucumbers, and peanut butter. On walks, Perla is working on her leash manners; she can pull when she sees something exciting to chase, but with consistency and training (and a ball or snacks on hand!) she’s already making progress. When she’s not chasing a ball or handing out kisses, Perla enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and watching “Dog TV,” where she barks enthusiastically at the pups on screen.
