Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua. ✨ Meet Milani (affectionately called Mila) ✨ At just 5 months old, this tiny chi mix is bursting with personality and charm! Mila may weigh under 5 pounds now (and won’t grow much bigger), but don’t let her size fool you—she’s a lively little pup who loves to play, zoom around with joy, and then curl up for long puppy naps. She’s wonderful with both dogs and humans, though for safety, we recommend a home without children under 12. Mila absolutely adores her toys and spends lots of time entertaining herself with them, and she would likely thrive with a young dog companion to match her playful energy. She is already learning her manners, especially doing her business in the yard, though she’s still too small to master the doggie door just yet. The good news? She sleeps soundly through the night! With her first round of shots complete and her spay surgery scheduled soon, Mila is ready to bring endless love and laughter to her forever family. If you’re looking for a happy, high‑spirited cutie with a heart as big as her personality, Mila is waiting to meet you! My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX and it includes all my age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. Fill out an app at: toolkit.rescuegroups/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
