Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie. Adoption Fee: 300.00. Ethel & Lucy — Bonded Yorkie Sisters Looking for a Forever Home Together Meet Ethel and Lucy, an adorable bonded pair of Yorkshire Terrier sisters who are as sweet as they are inseparable. These two tiny girls were lovingly surrendered to Pet Rescue By Judy when their owner realized she could no longer give them the care they deserved. Wanting only the best for them, she asked us to help find a family who could keep these sisters together — and that is our top priority. A Bond That Can’t Be Broken Ethel and Lucy have been by each other’s side their entire lives. They find comfort, confidence, and joy in one another, so they must be adopted as a pair. They play together, nap together, and rely on each other, making them the perfect ready-made duo for someone looking to add double the love to their home. These sisters will reward you with double the devotion, double the cuddles, and double the joy. About Ethel & Lucy Bonded Yorkshire Terrier sisters Extremely sweet, gentle, and affectionate Loyal, people-loving, and enjoy being close to their humans Thrive in a calm, loving home Great size for someone wanting small, easy-to-handle pups Surrendered through no fault of their own — their owner wanted to ensure they could remain together and receive all the care and attention they deserve Their Ideal Home Ethel & Lucy would do best with: Home without cats A family or individual who can give them lots of love and companionship Someone home often, since Yorkies tend to bond strongly and love being near their people A quieter home environment where they can feel safe and relaxed Adopters committed to caring for two small dogs — diet, grooming, and routine vet care included 12/6 Foster update: Girls had a great 1st night! They are both very sweet and have a lot of energy. They don’t bark a lot and are well-behaved. The girls are very food motivated, but they don’t beg- they just wait. They are very attached to each other and enjoy watchng the birds and taking walks (see pictures and video). They must have been trained-when they barked at the birds, I told them to stop and they did! As far as cats go, the girls chase my felines whenever they peek out of hiding, so a home without cats is needed. They are both energetic and curiouis, so an active home would be best. The girls will be heading to the vet for a checkup and a grooming appt.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
