Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed. Delilah aka momma yorkie is 7 years young yorkie mix who is looking for a soft place to land. Her and her daughter Daisy were found abandoned by their family when their dad went into assisted living, they were left in the cold until a good Samaritan brought them to safety. While we would love to keep these girls together they are not bonded and can be placed separate homes. Delilah aka Momma yorkie is a hoot and knows she deserves to be queen of the couch. She loves to snuggle up next to you or chill on a comfy bed. She gets along with dogs and cats. She is only 9lbs so please keep in mind she needs more frequent potty breaks than a larger dog Daisy is a sweet soul who needs lots of loving. She is a 3 year old yorkie mix and is perfectly content with a warm cozy spot to lounge and sleep the day away. She is a low maintenance girl. Like her momma this dainty girl weighs in at 12lbs and will need to be let out a couple times a day for potty breaks with little dogs come little bladders

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
