Description
Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 620. Meet Boone — a handsome 3-year-old sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. Boone is the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side. He LOVES attention and thrives on companionship. He listens well when you tell him to “come” or “stop,” but he doesn’t know much beyond those basics just yet — nothing a little training and consistency can’t fix! When left alone, Boone may cry or bark at first, but he does settle down. He’s partially potty trained — he’ll go as soon as you take him outside, but he has had a few accidents (including marking), both indoors and out. He’s actively working on this, and neutering plus routine will help a lot. Boone has also been great with the two male dogs in his foster home. No aggression, no humping — just coexistence and calm vibes. Overall, Boone is a truly sweet, loving dog who just needs patience, structure, and a steady routine. With a little guidance, he’s going to make someone an amazing companion.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Aussiedor is a hybrid of the Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever, emerging as a modern companion in North America’s designer-dog movement. Medium to large in size, they typically weigh 40–80 pounds with an athletic build and a double coat that can be short to medium-length, shedding seasonally. Their temperament blends the Lab’s friendliness with the Aussie’s alert intelligence: highly trainable, eager to please, and very energetic. Aussiedors thrive with active families, enjoying hikes, runs, and interactive play, but they are less suited to apartment living unless given ample daily exercise and mental stimulation. Regular grooming helps manage shedding. Notable health considerations include hip dysplasia, eye conditions, and weight management, with a typical lifespan of 10–13 years. Consistent training, enrichment, and preventive veterinary care keep this versatile cross at its best.
