Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 625.00. Meet Jacin! Jacin was born on 9/1/2025 and weighs about 15 lb. This gorgeous little brindle boy is such a love bug. He just wants to play and snuggle, and I think he might genuinely want to climb inside of your face to express just how much he loves you! He has only been at his foster home for a short amount of time but is already showing serious potty training and leash walking skills. In the next few days he will be working on perfecting sleeping through the night in his crate, basic commands, and just learning to be a good well-rounded dog. Jacin is great with kids and other dogs and is all around super friendly and outgoing. A very confident boy who just loves everybody. He just ran right to his Fosters when he first met them, was happy as could be to go with them, and was very comfortable in the car on the way home. This little guy is going to do just great wherever he goes and be very messed wherever he leaves. Will you give Jacin his furever home for the holidays?

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
