She was originally adopted from the Stockton shelter and is now seeking a new home due to housing challenges—no fault of her own. ✨ Personality & Behavior Friendly with children Excited and social with visitors Comfortable living both indoors and outdoors Allows people to take food and toys without issue Has never bitten anyone Gets along well with other dogs Ideal Home Daisy would do best with an active family or individual who can provide regular exercise, outdoor time, and affection. She’d enjoy a yard, playtime, and the companionship of humans or other dogs. The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy.
