Pinky aka Celisse - 1-5 years old, house trained, playful, friendly Celisse is a return from adoption after not getting along with neighboring dogs. She is well behaved in the home although this rascal might steal things from your countertops. She enjoys going for walks but is very reactive when she sees another animal. Celisse is good with older children. Shes active and loves to run and play with all kinds of toys. Celisse is currently in a back kennel. Just come on in and ask to meet her.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
