Sadly, I was abandoned when a rescue closed and really want to find my forever home. I LOVE toys and playing with other dogs! I’m good with cats too. I’m a little shy though upon first meeting and prefer no small children please, they scare me. Not to brag but I’m super smart. I’m the kind of smart that keeps you on your toes so I need a human who appreciates a dog with brains and will keep my mind as active as my body. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
