Description
Dog Breed: Husky (medium coat). Brittany can be reached at 575-740-6235 (call/text). Brittany is taking care of these three husky dogs. They belonged to her father in law but he moved and left the dogs with Brittany. She needs to find them a home. All information has been provided by Brittany. They've always been outside dogs so probably not house trained. They are not good with cats. They have only been living with each other and have not been socialized with other dogs. Two of them are one year old and the other is two years old. All three are males. They are not neutered. (Low cost neuters have been offered.) They had a set of shots as puppies but are not up to date on shots now. To discuss adopting one of these beautiful dogs who deserve better, Brittany can be reached at 575-740-6235 (call/text).

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
