Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Breed: American Bully / American Pit Bull / Poodle (small) / Boxer DOB: 7/2023 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: medium Color(s): tan Description: Hi, I'm Baby C, an American Bully / American Pit Bull / Poodle (small) / Boxer (I had a DNA test done) who is in need of a loving home. I am an escape artist and can jump very high, so would do best in a home where I can get lots of exercise and stimulation. I love human attention, walk well on leash and know the command 'sit'. I'm in a foster home with other dogs and we do great together. It is not known if I am good with cats or children, but I have lots of love to give to the right family. My previous owner wanted to euthanize me because they did not want the responsibility of caring for a dog, but CARL believes that I have a lot of love and happiness left to give to the right family. I am an incredibly sweet and hopeful dog, and I know that I will be the light in someone's life. If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
