Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Chops! Chops is overall a very well behaved dog! He´s housetrained, follows your rules, and has never chewed or destroyed anything else than some of his toys. Chops´s spirit is wonderfully young and playful. He thrives around other dogs, even would be a good dog nanny for a younger dog, delights in push-pull games, running in a big yard and goofing around with his toys. This extraordinary friendly boy is sweet and soft-hearted. If you allow, he´d love to sleep or nap in your bed and snuggle up to you. Heâs intelligent and curious. He enjoys outdoor time, digging and exploring â keep the gate closed. ;) Chops would make a wonderful addition to a family and would also love a canine buddy to play with. If there´s a big yard or a farm, Chops would be in heaven. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
