Description
Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 130. Georgie needed to get out of a bad situation. His right eye was damaged in some type of altercation or accident. It limits his vision but doesn’t slow him down. As affectionate as any pup can be, he seems so happy to be loved. He’s in a foster home learning what being cared for is all about! He’s been groomed and has a beautiful soft coat. Pretty boy and gets along well with other dogs.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Aussie Pyrenees is a striking hybrid that combines the herding instincts of the Australian Shepherd with the guardian nature of the Great Pyrenees. Originating as a designer mix, this breed is known for its large size, often weighing between 50–110 pounds, with a thick double coat that can come in a variety of colors including white, cream, brindle, and tri-color. Their temperament blends loyalty, intelligence, and protectiveness, making them devoted family companions who thrive in active households. While affectionate and gentle with children, they can be wary of strangers, so early socialization is important. Due to their size and energy, they are best suited for homes with spacious yards rather than apartments. With proper care, they enjoy a lifespan of 10–15 years, though owners should watch for potential health concerns such as hip dysplasia and joint issues common to large breeds.
