Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Lilly came to us in rough shape in March of 2025. She was extremely underweight, but sheâs since blossomed into a healthy, happy girl with a big personality. If youâre looking for a dog who will always keep you smiling, Lillyâs your girl! This playful pup is all about the toys. Squeaky toys are her absolute favorite (she could squeak all day if youâd let her!), but truth be told, sheâll happily play with just about anything. Once sheâs got a toy, sheâs never really ready to give it back â sheâd much rather play all day with it! Lilly is easy to leash up, though she thinks walking herself by tugging the leash is part of the fun. After all, anything can be a toy if you want it to be! Sheâs a medium-energy dog who enjoys roaming around the yard and occasionally pausing for some pets. She's treat motivated and already knows how to sit on command for one. She may not be the type to sit still for long cuddles, but what she lacks in couch potato tendencies, she makes up for with endless silliness, stumpy tail wags, and toy antics. Lilly has been waiting patiently to find her match â could it be you? Come meet this squeaky toy queen and see how quickly sheâll squeak her way into your heart!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
