Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). MEET BUNNY One year old. Beautiful, bold, and a little bit of a wild child. Bunny is the kind of girl whose whole body wiggles the moment she sees her people. She’s gorgeous inside and out — playful, affectionate, and full of life. A true wild child in the best way, Bunny brings energy, joy, and nonstop smiles wherever she goes. Currently with a GA foster home, she loves morning kisses, backyard zoomies, and being involved in everything her humans are doing — whether that’s exploring outdoors, going on adventures, or crashing hard for cuddles after a busy day. Her start in life wasn’t easy. Bunny came to us as a stray, severely underweight at just 16 pounds and battling parasites. With proper vet care, consistent nutrition, and a whole lot of love, she’s made an incredible transformation. Today, Bunny is healthy, confident, thriving — and ready for her forever home. Bunny at a Glance: 1 year old Spayed, fully vetted & healthy Dog-friendly Best with kids 15+ due to her enthusiastic, wild-child energy Not cat tested yet As the holidays approach, Bunny’s biggest wish is simple: a family of her own. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
