Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Dumped at just 6 months old, Tabitha is STILL waiting for a forever home 7 months later. Tabitha has grown from an awkward “tween” with no skills into a smart, gorgeous, adventure-ready dog. She knows basic commands, focuses well in training, appears potty trained, loves car rides, and did great with crating during a volunteer sleepover. She’s strikingly beautiful but her paws and ears are still so HUGE in comparison to the rest of her body…she’s still growing into them! Tabitha will thrive with a committed, confident handler who can provide structure, love, and continued training. She plays hard with other dogs who match her energy, has done well meeting people (including dog-savvy young kids) at adoption events, and would make an incredible lifelong companion. Our volunteers have already done the hard part of training the wild puppy out of Tabitha — now she just needs the personal training touch and bond with her forever person. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
