Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350.00. Miko was surrendered together with his brother Mako to a local shelter partner. His brother recently found his forever family and we do not understand why he is still looking for his forever home. He is cute, well mannered, funny, goofy and gets along well with everything and anything. Miko is a beautiful and playful young man and gets along fantastic with other dogs (he doesn't mind cats either). In fact he is going to daycare every week and loves to play and romp around with the other canine friends and shares his toys nicely. Miko is house, crate and potty trained. He is fantastic in the car and has nice leash manners. Miko loves people and is fantastic with children of all ages. He loves to hang around his humans while they working and is a huge cuddle buddy when time comes to watch some TV. Miko has a good recall and knows basic commands. Please email us at bobbiespitrescuegmail if you have questions about this beautiful boy or send us a message on social media.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
